Nairn Championship
I had the pleasure of playing this stunning course in the gents open many years ago, what an experience.
It was the first & only time I was ever announced on the tee at any open I played & I played quite a few.
I was playing off a handicap of 11 at the time & to say I struggled was an understatement we were playing of the black tees with a stiff sea breeze but I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I had scored terribly, the gentleman I was paired with was playing of of 7 & what a striker of the ball he was & he put together a very nice round & was sitting first place when we left the clubhouse, I don't know if he went on to win I was just glad I didn't put him off his game lol.
