Turnberry

Turnberry has 3 courses the Ailsa & king Robert the Bruce (formally named the Kintyre) both 18 hole championship courses & the Arran a 9 hole, the Ailsa being famous for the duel between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson over the four days of the 1977 Open championship, situated in South Ayrshire, with spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde to the islands of Arran and Ailsa Craig also Turnberry lighthouse is a prominent feature which comes into view on most holes & next to that sits the ruins of Turnberry castle where it is said King Robert the Bruce was Born.
